Double Trouble

I wrote earlier today regarding the tension within the Republican Party as they struggle to unite behind their leadership.

But in the interests of full disclosure I feel it necessary to point out the anxiety within the Democrat Party as well.

President Obama has not had smooth sailing since January 20th and has proven the mandate he claims to hold is worthless.

Senior members of Congress are now balking at his leadership (or lack thereof) as evidenced today when House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer claimed "I don’t think the White House has the ability to tell us what to.”

Hoyer was speaking in reference to Obama's plan to reform earmark spending. Hoyer was quick to point out that his party's leader had earmarks himself while in the Senate for projects in Illinois.

The dissension among members of both parties is stemming out of frustration. The liberals are upset with Obama for not wholly adopting their plan to socialize America and Republicans are angry that no single voice has yet to present himself (or herself) as a viable representative of conservative philosophy.

Governor Jindal did his very best last week in the toughest of scenarios but his stumbling proved troublesome to those who had pegged him as the future leader of the party.

There is much talent within the GOP and it is only a matter of time before a true conservative steps up, takes the reins, and leads the party back to prosperity.

I am always amazed at your ability to spin facts. You distort the truth daily. There is no problem with the democratic party. The problem is conservatives are going extinct and you can't accept that.

I couldn't agree more. The spotlight is on the mess in the GOP but the dems have just as much trouble.

Dear Casanova,

You wanna talk about political parties. OK, Let's Talk, But let's get one thing straight...

Obama, Pelosi and Reid are not Democrats or liberals, and God knows they are extremely far from being Republican or Conservative...

Mr. Casanova I suggest you begin to addressing Mr. Obama, Ms. Pelosi and Mr. Reid with the rightful party to which they belong... THE SOCIALIST PARTY!

Maybe instead of a (D) behind their name you could put an (S)... or maybe a (C) for COMMUNIST would be more fitting...

Wow. Where to begin? This perfectly proves my point that republicans are bitter and out of touch. I love how they throw "communist" around to scare people. It really is getting old. They are the party of "no" and the Brians of the party are the crazed people who run it.
When compared to brian, the Casanova looks like Chris Matthews.

Well if the Dems are socialist that makes your party the Whigs...enjoy carrying only Utah and Kentucky in 2012 because it might be the last presidential election you guys ever carry a state. That is if Rush and Steel get their way.

The GOP needs to get back to its roots. Clearly we suffered a major blow this past election and it shook us. We tried too hard to move to the left and we lost our focus. We need a candidate who is willing to step up and loudly proclaim the principles on which this party was founded. We are still in the fetal position too often trying to be popular. Popular gets us the likes of Barack Obama. Popular doesn't get the job done. We are not Sally Field accepting our Oscar saying" you like me you really like me" We need someone with the guts to tell it like it is. The country is going to be open to that after these next four years I am sure.
